We have successfully conducted the first test campaign of the HELIX – engine in flight configuration. During 3 Hotfires with a combinded duration of 74 seconds, we successfully proved the viability of our engine design with multiple ignitions and a thermal-steady state during each of the tests. With the data from these tests we can now work towards an integrated stage test.
We have successfully conducted an eight second hot fire test of our full-scale staged-combustion engine. Ignition, steady-state operation and controlled engine shutdown were nominal. With thermal steady-state achieved across the full engine assembly, the engine is ready to operate at full duration.
