Your responsibilites & tasks
During development phase:
- Support development of payload interface specification
- Develop and maintain launch vehicle User Manual
- Support development of launch vehicle interface to the payload (adapter, dispenser)
- Concept definition of rideshare launch configurations
During operation phase:
- Manage technical relation with payload manufacturer from launch service contract signature to mission completion (incl. post-launch deliveries and contractual closeout)
- Support mission analysis on payload interface aspects
- Support payload manufacturer on technical aspects for licensing and safety submission to relevant authorities
- Support payload preparation by payload manufacturer, and manage PL integration on LV in coordination with launch campaign manager
- Responsible of ensuring payload is delivered into orbit safely
- Customer interface with respect to all engineering details
Your qualifications
- Degree in aerospace engineering
- 5+ years of work experience with payload to launch vehicle interface management
- Experience with environmental testing standards (vacuum, vibration, shock, thermal)
- Fundamental understanding of coupled-loads analyses and their respective boundary conditions
- Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
- Strong lateral thinking skills, high social intelligence, and the ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Portuguese language is considered advantageous
- Personal mobility to move at the launch site location for the implementation phase
